Emotions

Theory on Emotions
Our "common sense" understanding of emotion has been challenged by different emotional theory. Based on our class lectures/Blueprint, we see that there are several theories on emotions, that in fact, it is more complex than our traditional understanding.

Your assignment: Tell me what theory of Emotion makes the MOST sense to you, and then cite a personal example that can back up your answer (tell me about the time that "something happened," which makes you believe in one of the theories more than the others.
) After that, you must respond to one of your classmates post in a constructive/analytical way!
You must do all three to get full credit (a) which one makes more sense, b) cite the example, c) respond to a classmates post)
.

Welcome and I look forward to your first entry.

Assigment 2: You must respond, in a positive or intellectual way, to a posting made by one of your peers in the "other" period.

Any questions, let me know in class.

Online Debriefing

"Psych Nation," congratulations on completing the AP Psychology test. It has been a real journey and I know the overwhelming majority of you "executed," and did not "expire."

I am requesting, as your final blog post, that you (a) discuss what the AP Psychology testing experience was like for you compared to taking other AP tests (think about your readiness, comfort, confidence, etc) and (b) discuss "what was helpful (resources/strategies) for you in preparing you for the AP Psychology Exam." Think about the essential question, did you feel like you were prepared for the test, and if so, what helped you? If you feel like you were not prepared, why not, and did you do your part to be prepared?

Remember, when comparing the AP Psych Exam to other AP tests, do not mention other AP subjects, exams, or teachers by name. No one is on trial and our job is not to be negative or point the finger. Please and thank you!

Last year's comments will remained posted in case any of you are confused.

LASTLY

YOU ARE NOT PERMITTED TO DISCUSS ANY TESTING SPECIFICS, OF ANY KIND, CONCERNING TEST QUESTIONS, TEST ANSWERS, SUBJECT MATTER, CASE SCENARIOS OR ANY OTHER ITEMS LISTED ON THE 2009-2010 AP PSYCHOLOGY TEST. PLEASE KEEP YOUR POST GENERAL AND ONLY DISCUSS THE EXPERIENCE. Thanks!

I am asking that all post be submitted by Friday, 5/21/10, 8:30pm.

See me for questions.
